Valley Ridge Trek: The best hiking is an easy trek offering the distant views of snowy mountains, and an idea of the typical Nepali countryside life and ethnic culture. This trek is suitable for those who are traveling with children, families, students who do not have enough time for longer treks. Trek starts from just an hour’s drive from Kathmandu city. The trek leads through the hills facing to the northeast of Langtang Himalayan Range with magnificent views of the mountain. The whole trail of the Valley Ridge trek offers the best mountain views.
Nagarkot is the best viewpoint on the Valley Ridge trekking route where you will enjoy panoramic Himalayan scenery of Mount Everest, Mount Ganesh Himal, Mount Gaurishankar, Mount Dorje Lhakpa, Langtang Himalayan range, Rolwaling Himalayan range. Never miss the sunrise and sunset experiences with the most beautiful time of the day in these mountains. The warmth and old traditional hospitality are an added bonus for the trek. The route and a novelty destination. The trekking route is surrounded by hills and is the cradle of Nepalese civilization and culture. Nala and Banepa add the cultural taste to the trek by interesting the Newari settlements rich in architecture. Do not miss out on the famous temples these places host, Nala Bhagawati Temple, and Kanyakumari Temple, Chandeswori temple, etc.
Accommodations:
We will be staying at Alpine Hotel Nepal in Kathmandu, Mount Kailash Resort in Pokhara, and teahouses during the trek. All accommodations are on a twin-shared basis. A single supplement will be served on request and will cost an additional USD350. Alpine Club of Himalaya will arrange rooms with attached washrooms. However, teahouses in some places only have shared washing and toilet facilities. Also, note that single rooms are readily available in Kathmandu and the trekking regions at lower elevation but it might be difficult to find them at higher elevations.
Meals:
During the Valley Ridge Trek – The Best Hiking, you can enjoy Nepali, Tibetan, Indian as well as more common continental cuisines. Breakfast (only) will be provided during your stay in Kathmandu whereas all meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) will be available during the trek and climb. While trekking Valley Ridge Trek – The Best Hiking, breakfast will be taken in the same place we stay the night. Similar arrangements can also be arranged for dinner. Lunch will be taken en route to the next destination. During the climbing session, hygienic and freshly-cooked food will be provided. There will also be welcome and farewell dinners in Kathmandu.
Upon arrival at the Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu and will be greeted by a representative from Alpine Club of Himalaya who will drop us off at the hotel. After check-in, take a rest or stroll around the streets of Thamel, a tourist hub in Kathmandu for some souvenir shopping. In the evening, there will be a welcome dinner hosted by the Alpine Club of Himalaya where you will be served excellent authentic Nepalese cuisine which will introduce you to the local food culture.
